Mica has a multitude of Applications but the main applications are in paint, plastics, construction, fire retardancy, sound proofing, welding rods and oil field drilling.

Mica is a naturally occurring phyllosilicate of aluminium and potassium with the chemical formula composed of Muscovite 
KAl2 (AlSi3 O10 )(F,OH)2  and Phlogopite KMg2 (AlSi3 O10)(F,OH)2

Mica Scrap

Mica recovered by means of hammer crushing, processing and screening of crude mica having an average area between 12 to 50 mm sq. (1/2 to 2 inch sq.) is defined as Mica Scrap. All Mica Scrap are substantially free from mineral and non-mineral impurities as well as other foreign inclusions. It is exported to plants all over the world and finds paramount use as a primary raw material in the manufacture of mica paper or re-constituted mica. Domestically, Mica Scrap is used as a basic material for the manufacture of Ground Mica Flakes and Powders. It is also widely used to make mica paper.

Green muscovite and Ruby muscovite mica scrap is available in both grades - spotted and spotless. Standard sizes are 1" up, 3/4" up and 1/2" up.

The mica scrap from RANDROCK is valued in the international market for its quality. This is due to the stringent processing norms followed at our site.

Processing capacity is 300 MT per month.

Mica Flakes

Mica flakes are used in the manufacture of wet ground mica and mica based effect pigments.

High quality mica flakes are processed in our factory for the above applications.

The standard size is 2 to 8 mesh.

The processing capacity of our plant is 500 MT per month

Mica Powder

Muscovite Mica is a hydrated silicate of potassium and aluminium. Rand Rock Minerals can supply Indian and Chinese dry ground and micronized powders. Mica has a multiude of Applications but the main applications are in paint, plastics, construction, fire retardency, sound proofing, welding rods and oilfield drilling.
